Support local youth by joining us on May 2, 2020 from 3-7 p.m. for a BBQ at Puncheon Camp Creek Ranch in Hendersonville.  The site of Bub Hyder’s cattle ranch, Puncheon Camp Creek Ranch is home to 150 long-horn steer.  This is the once a year event that Bub welcomes the public to this local farm which boasts a replica of a small old western town, featuring a general store, gas station, saloon, hotel, court house, post office, bank, sheriff’s office, chapel, school house and more!  This alone is worth the trip out! This event is Troop 605's biggest fundraiser and the troop typically serves between 700 to 1,000 plates at this annual event.

This fun-raising fundraiser will include bluegrass, gospel and old-time bands playing in the barn, featuring Lynn Goldsmith, and the Jetter Mountain Band, and more.  There will also be a raffle for a Henry Golden Boy Lever-action .22 long rifle, as well as a silent auction.

Tickets prices are only $10 per adult, $5 for children, ages 6 to 12. Kids 5 and under eat free. Family tickets are also available for up to 5 people for a special price of only $40. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or by calling Don Henderson 828-685-3273, Marvin Peterson 828-693-8402 or

100% of the profits earned from this event will remain with Troop 605. Funds are used to defray operating costs and ensure that every scout who wants to participate in an activity or event can do so regardless of financial ability.  The entertainment, fellowship and event location are the best that the mountains have to offer. Mark your calendar and come out to support our scouts.  The event will be held rain or shine!
